Which starting point should I choose?
Use what you know best: your last period, an IVF transfer, a conception date or an early scan. If an early scan and your period dates differ by more than a set number of days, doctors use the scan, and so does our calculator (ACOG).
How accurate is the result?
A due date is an estimate. Most babies are born between 37 and 42 weeks, so we show that range as well as the date (CDC). Your midwife or doctor will confirm your dates.
