How the family page works
- You choose the due date and, if you like, a name or nickname.
- We make a link. The date and name are written inside the link itself, after the “#”. Browsers never send that part to a server, so we cannot see it.
- Your family opens the link and sees the countdown, the weeks, a baby pool with real chances for each day, and a message wall.
- Only you can pause the page, approve messages and remove guesses. Pausing shows a gentle message to everyone, at once.
Questions people ask
Can other people find our page?
No. The page is not listed anywhere and search engines are told not to show it. Only people who have the link can open it.
What if something sad happens?
You can pause the page at any time, from this device or with your manage link. Everyone who opens it then sees a calm, neutral message instead of the countdown.
What happens after the birth?
Enter the birth date in “Manage link”. The page shows that the baby has arrived and how old the baby is, and the baby pool shows the winner.
Do my family need an app or an account?
No. They open the link in any web browser, on a phone or a computer. You don’t need an account either.
How does the baby pool work?
Each person picks a day for the birth. The page shows the real chance of birth on that day, from official US birth statistics (CDC). After the birth, the closest guess wins. You can remove any guess.
Can grandparents read it easily?
Yes. The family page has a “Bigger text” button, and it is made for small phones too.
Is the family page free?
Yes. Making and sharing a family page is free, with no account and no app.
